Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
The Ministry is responsible for administering the health care system and providing services to the Ontario public through such programs as health insurance, drug benefits, assistive devices, care for the mentally ill, long-term care, home care, community and public health, and health promotion and disease prevention. Support from the Ministry made it possible for A-Way to celebrate 20 years of success.
Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network
Local Health Integration Networks are the new Health Care System for Ontario, which provides financial support to A-Way. Comprised of 14 non-profit agencies each corresponding to a different geographical region, the LHINs are the bodies that implement the health care policy created by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
